If something is not working the way you expected, if you have a suggestion, or if you want to use Strings Mentor with your students — write to us. We answer every message.

These buttons open your mail app with the subject already filled in — it helps us answer faster.

When reporting a problem, tell us your device model, the app version (at the bottom of the Settings screen) and what you were doing when it happened. A screenshot is worth a thousand words.

2.Frequently asked questions

Does the app work without an internet connection?

Entirely. Every chapter, every mode and the microphone work with no connection at all — the app never makes a single network request.

Do I need an account?

No. You open the app and play. We never ask for an email address, a name, or anything else that identifies you.

Does the microphone record what I play?

No. The sound is analysed on your device as you play, to give you feedback on rhythm and intonation. Nothing is written to a file and nothing is sent anywhere. The microphone is used only in the Play tab, and only after you grant permission.

Where is my progress stored?

On your device only. That has one important consequence: if you delete the app, your progress goes with it and there is no way to recover it. Syncing between devices is something we want to add, but it does not exist yet.

Which languages does it speak?

English and Portuguese. The app follows your device language, and you can force either one in Settings.

Which instruments does it cover?

Cello, in first position and bass clef. The other bowed strings appear on the instrument screen, still to come.

Can I start over?

You can. Settings → Reset progress clears stars, streaks and reviews while keeping your preferences. There is no undo.

Strings Mentor collects no personal data. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
